Purpose Project Update #2

For the past week, I’ve been collecting information and conducting research involving Search Engine Optimization (SEO), blogging management, blog marketing, and social media marketing. I have not yet put any of these discoveries and notes to use, but plan to in the next week when I start building up my blog with posts and stronger content/visuals.

I presented my elevator pitch explaining the struggle that comes with finding new books to read and answering questions relating to those books. I want my blog to be the solution to those unanswered questions, while also actively helping readers find books that they will love. After presenting the speech, I received insightful feedback including suggestions for expanding the blog content to videos, discussion columns, and even linking up with other classmates to bring in musical and artistic elements. I intend on using that advice to expand the blogs influence and hopefully reach a larger range of readers.

Currently, I am building up the blog site so that when I share the blog with others, there is enough content to capture someone's interest. For the next two weeks, I will be revamping old posts from by old blog, posting new content (videos, tips, etc.), and taking pictures of books and other book related things for the posts.

So far, the movement of my purpose project has been a slow trot, but in the next two weeks will be a full on sprint in preparation for my blog’s big reveal on the date of presentations.
