In my GHEnglish class, we were introduced to a new creative project that not only takes away the standard grading and preliminary guidelines, but takes away all guidelines whatsoever. The project we were introduced to is called 20Time, or better known as a purpose project, where all guidelines and gutters are stripped away so that the only path to pursue is your own. In fact, just this year, I began relearning the design process, with this project being the turning point for my creative pursuit.
The idea for my project began a couple years ago from my discovery of an eye opening and truly inspiring book community on YouTube, or better known as Booktubers. People like them inspired me to become an avid reader and my passion effortlessly grew. A small part of me knew I wanted to someday be like that, and from that love, my first book blog on Tumblr was born.
On my blog I posted book reviews as a hobby and I’ve always pondered the idea of making the blog a committed part of my life and decided that this was the best opportunity to make that dream a reality. I was somewhat nervous and a little bit uncomfortable with making my blog known to people in my class because it has been such a personal thing to me. However, I hope that with this blog can help people regardless with finding the right book, introducing them to the book community, and maybe bring a little bit of bookworm out of them.
Currently, I am creating the website for my blog, revamping and editing old posts on my Tumblr blog to transfer, and doing research to provide better content for people who drop by. With the purpose already there, it's not hard to find passion following closely behind.
