ABOUT ME
Hello and welcome to my bloggity blog blog! For starters, I am a bit of an oddball and have a unique personality, as well as a unique laugh, similar to the sound a windshield wiper makes.
I am extremely dedicated to my education and strongly believe it can truly change and shape your future. I take that to heart as I continue to pursue my education and chase after my dreams. In the future, I want to become an obstetrician gynecologist and am extremely happy to have opportunities to help families during their journey through pregnancy and birth.
My favorite thing to do at home is SLEEP! With all the school work and clubs I am in, the time for sleep is minimum, but if working hard now will set me up for an easier future, it's all worth it in the end. But seriously, sleep is all I really ask for.
In my free time, after I have fully replenished my energy, I love to watch youtube, read, and chill with my dog.
On youtube, I love to watch many different things, from gaming to cooking to vlogs. In fact, I love to watch cooking and baking videos, with Gordon Ramsey being a favorite chef of mine. I'm sure this gives you the hint that I am a dedicated and passionate FOODIE!
However, my favorite youtube channels are Booktubers. Booktubers have truly changed my life and ignited my passion for reading. In fact, those channels are what got me into reading in the first place. I think everyone who enjoys books and shares a love for them can relate to these YouTubers who are just like you and me. My favorite channels that have inspired me and you should definitely check out for their great content are polandbananasBOOKS, abookutopia, and Tashapolis.
My other favorite channels are Megan Bowen, an American living in Korea and blogging about her life there. Megan shines a light on her life in Korea as a foreigner, as well as shares fun vlogs and overall advice. I am particularly interested and involved in the Korean and Chinese culture. I was born in Hubei China and have grown up in a Korean church. In fact, I am the product of three different culture and am grateful for it every day.
Like I mentioned earlier, I love getting lost in books and have had some of my best moments while reading. My favorite genres to read are romance, fantasy, and pretty much anything fiction. As of now, I am trying to expand the genres I read and hope to achieve that this year. Not only do I read books, but I also love to read fanfiction, manga, and Webtoons. Fanfiction has been something I hold close to my heart and have grown up loving, and manga has also been a long time friend. However, recently I started using and falling in love with Webtoon, a network where aspiring storytellers write and illustrate their stories and can be patroned by fans. As you can see, reading is a major part of my life and I could not live without those getaways in the sea of stories.
Like I mentioned earlier, I am heavily involved in school clubs. I am a part of the Newspaper club, where I am a staff writer and photographer. My foodie lifestyle shines through the local restaurant reviews I write for the school's paper. I am also a part of Take Action, a club supporting the environment and fighting against animal cruelty. I am a member of Math club, where a team of students compete against other schools in math competitions. I am in Ankhor club as a tutor in math for elementary through middle school kids. I am also joining a new Kpop dance club, something I am extremely passionate and interested in. Also, I am a part of the Reading Olympics team, Key club, and NHS.
Lastly, outside of school, I am a member of the Youth Missions Volleyball Team, an organization within the Professionals Global Mission organization (PGM YMV). I joined the team in my 9th grade year with no experience in volleyball, but have made it on the JV team, or Team B, in 10th grade. The vision of the team is to build up as good soldiers of Jesus Christ and join the Here and Now and overseas missions. The team is planning on going on a missions trip to Mexico in 2018, which is what we are preparing for now, as well as tournaments. This team and organization is something I am looking forward to in the future and hope to improve in over the years.
The road for me, and many others as well, is long and hard, but I hope I can continue this blog and share my growth throughout my journey in the future.
